A second day of 20-knot winds ushers the fleet through match racing

RC 44s take flight as Artemis takes control. The Swedish team is the sole survivor after first day of match racing, with Team Aqua in its wake.

RC 44 Season Championship resumes tomorrow off Valencia

Currently third of the Championship Tour after three events, Team Aqua has a good card to play in Valencia, with five teams separated by only six points in the overall provisional ranking.

The tricky conditions, strong and shifty wind, put one team after the other out of contention for the RC 44 Copenhagen Cup fleet race title. Separated by one point ahead of the last race, BMW ORACLE Racing and No Way Back had a last race of their own… Team Aqua finishes the fleet race in fourth, and grabs a superb second place overall.

The wind was blowing too hard to allow any racing taking place today.

Team Aqua sits three points behind the provisional leader No Way Back. The game is more open than ever.

Nine matches and eight victories: Cameron Appleton and his crewmembers on board Team Aqua have won the RC 44 Copenhagen Cup match race in style. BMW ORACLE Racing finishes second whilst Artemis completes the podium.

Seven flights got completed today in perfect conditions. Unbeaten, Cameron Appleton and his Team Aqua lead the contest ahead of Ceeref (Rod Davis) and five teams on a tie in third.
